The Alachua County Farmers Market is one of the most popular farmer’s markets in Gainesville Florida.
This farmers market is the only Growers Only Market in North Central Florida.
What is a Growers Only Market? A Growers Only Market means that everything sold at the farmers market is grown within 50 miles of the market, and the people who grow the fruits, vegetables, dairy products and more are the ones who are selling it at the farmers market.
What kind of things are sold at this farmers market? The day I was there, I found flowers, landscape plants, fruits and vegetables, honey, and even cheeses made by local cows! (As a side note, the cows weren’t there, but their human friends were).
The Alachua County Farmers Market happens every Saturday from 8:30 AM until 12 PM. Some vendors run out of stuff before then so make sure to get there early for the best selection.
Address: 5920 NW 13th Street in Gainesville Florida 32653, at the intersection of SR 121 and US 441.
