Haile Plantation Neighborhoods

There are several dozen Haile Plantation mini neighborhoods which comprise the whole of this SW Gainesville community.

A large portion of this award-winning New Urbanism community was built on a former Sea Island cotton plantation founded by South Carolina transplant Thomas Evans Haile in 1854. Haile Plantation is one of Gainesville’s top selling communities.

Situated approximately 8 miles southwest of UF Health Shands Hospital and the University of Florida, Haile Plantation in Gainesville, Florida  was developed in 1978 by The Fleeman Family, Matthew Kaskel, and Robert B. Kramer.

Haile Plantation Schools

Haile Plantation homes are zoned for either Chiles Elementary School or Wiles Elementary School. The community is also zoned for Kanapaha Middle School and Buchholz High School. Prospective Haile Plantation homeowners should confirm school zoning information with the Alachua County Public Schools Zoning Office at (352) 955-7700.

Haile Plantation Homeowner Associations

There are four main homeowner associations within this community: Haile Plantation Association, Haile Plantation West Association, Haile Market Square Owners Association, and Haile Village Center Owners Association. Each mini neighborhood within the Haile Plantation community is governed by one of these homeowner associations.
