There are two state parks less than 30 minutes away: Devil’s Millhopper Geological State Park and San Felasco Hammock State Park.

Devil’s Millhopper features a short hike to the bottom of a 500 foot wide, 120 foot deep sinkhole. San Felasco Hammock State Park is known for its expansive trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.

Also nearby is Possum Creek park. This multi-use Gainesville city park features a skate park, a dog park, picnic pavilions, and recreational ball fields.
