Gainesville and Alachua County home sales increased .7% in 2014 — from 2,406 detached single family homes sold in 2013 to 2,423 detached single family homes sold in 2014.

It took an average of 143 days to sell a detached single family home in Alachua County in 2014, down from 151 average days on market in 2013 — a decrease of 5.07%.

Gainesville condo sales prices rose 17.05% in 2014 — from a median sales price of $70,050 in 2013 to a median sales price of $82,000 in 2014.

Even though Gainesville condo sales prices were up in 2014, the amount of time it took to sell a Gainesville condo in 2014 increased 8.34% — It took an average of 147 days to sell a Gainesville condo in 2014, compared to 135 days in 2013.

Gainesville condo sales remained about the same in 2014 — 657 Gainesville condos were sold in 2014, vs. 656 Gainesville condos sold in 2013.
